To understand Buenos Aires, you must taste the tango! Have a complete Tango Experience by booking a private class in their home studio and then they take you to a milonga (social tango dance salon) filled with locals dancing the real tango of Buenos Aires.(No tango show style) Beginners welcome and no partner is necessary. Ruben y Cherie will teach you the basic principles of the dance and the unwritten codigos of the milonga.Ruben and Cherie teach social tango as it is danced in the milongas of Buenos Aires. They don't teach patterns or steps, but tango based on the music, embrace, connection, improvisation, sensuality, and elegance. Private lessons and group classes by request. Why take a tango class with Ruben y Cherie? They offer the unique service of personalized bilingual instruction, along with an Argentine's knowledge and decades of experience and an American's point of view. They have been teaching together since 2006, when they were Finalists in the Tango Championships of Buenos Aires. The big plus for the student is that they are a team of two experienced teachers, so there is one to dance with and one to instruct and correct. Time spent with them is fun, educational, and a window into the world of the milongas, where they are well known.
