THE MUSEUM It is designed to challenge conventional views of museum design. It draws on the work of Andreas Huyssen who has written extensively on the concept of memory and history. Visitors are not treated as consumers but active participants. The conventions of representing history as a single story are challenged through the design of the museum spaces. The past is represented as a set of memories that are disconnected yet bound together by themes.

The Fynbos trail is a unique nature experience in the heart of the Cape floral Kingdom that can be undertaken as a fully guided and catered slack packing trail or as a self-guided and catered trail. The trail has a two or three night option and takes hikers along a beautiful stretch of trail through coastal and mountain fynbos, remote forests and visits some fascinating environmental and social projects along the way.

"Schotia Game Reserve is right next to Addo Elephant Park so we did the combination tour of both; highly recommend this option. Both of these reserves are only a short distance out of Port Elizabeth. We were picked up at a designated place, as we drove in from Jeffreys Bay for the day.We were picked ..."up right on time and the rest of the day ran like that....flawlessly. Our guide Malcolm was invaluable and I would suggest the guided tours are the better option than the self drive through Addo Elephant Reserve as the park is so big and there's nothing like local knowledge to find the right places to be at the right time. The Schotia Game reserve was the highlight, the standard of what is delivered was above and beyond. The tour we did was in the afternoon and included both ample refreshments and dinner. The staff obviously not only care greatly about the animals but the value and experience that each and every single guest gets. There's a lot of options out there for game reserves but if my e...
