Melanie works in a variety of mediums--primarily oils on canvas, framed
in tropical woods hand carved by a Marquesian sculptor. Her
paintings are imbued with the saturated light and colours of Polynesia, and
a heartfelt tenderness for the everyday objects, anecdotal attitudes and
expressions of the Polynesians. Limited Edition prints available.

"Claude & Martine were excellent from the moment of our initial enquiries nearly a year in advance. They helped us with suggestions of where to stay in Huahine prior to departure and where to stay in Raiatea on conclusion.
We were collected from our base in Huahine and transferred to the sailingboat..." on schedule. We were immediately impressed with the sailing skills of Claude and the culinary skills of Martine throughout the trip.
Claude has an excellent knowledge of flora, fauna, birds and fish as well as nautical knowledge in terms of tide, drift and the stars. For us it was a great learning experience as well as exploring the treasures of Polynesian lagoons and islands.
Claude accompanied us on most snorkelling trips and introduced us to the various corals and motus. He also took us for walking tris on several islands.
The boat is meticulously maintained and a pleasure to travel on. Additional shade was provided when the weather became too bright and hot. I was able to fish using ...

"I would never believe that this island ride would be so fun. I met up with another tourist from France and the two of us took the ferry from our hotel to Fare and was met by Eric and took a short ride to his stable. The horses were is great shape and with saddles. We started on the basic trail ride..." for about 5 minutes then to the beach which was so scenic. The highlight was at a lake, which again I thought was for the scenery ..... But NO..... We took the horses across the water and that was wild for me! We were in water up to the horses back for about a 15 min time !! The only stress of the whole vacation ...... Keep the iPhone dry !!
The best . PS check out the large marquesas carving in their house.

"What a great way to spend a day in Huahine. Claude and Martin were wonderful hosts. and made us feel very welcome. We were actually scheduled to sail one day earlier, but the weather did not cooperate. Since Claude and Martin had an opening the next day, they gladly postponed our cruise. We saw dolp..."hins as our cruise began and stopped for snorkeling later in the morning. We also had a stop on a motu. Claude is extremely knowledgeable about sailing and the lagoon and was anxious to share his knowledge. Martin was entertaining and knowledgeable about the islands. our dream would be to sail with Claude and Martin on an extended excursion to other islands. I especially appreciated that Claude and Martin love to see the ocean animals and fish in their natural environment. I'm ready to return to Huahine and sail with Claude and Martin again.
