The Bat Jungle is a live bat exhibit, unique in the world, in which bats fly free in a huge enclosure designed to resemble a rainforest at night. We have approximately 65 bats of 8 species, all tropical fruit-eating and nectar-feeding ("hummingbats") species. Visitors are taken on a guided tour where they not only see, but hear the echolocation calls of flying bats. They also enjoy amazing stationary and interactive professionally designed exhibits.

The Museum of Monteverde History has a primary focus on the North American Quakers who founded Monteverde in 1950. The visitor also learns about the indigenous tribes that once lived here, and finally, the contribution of biologists, conservationists, and ecotourism to modern Monteverde.
