  "When I approached the springs, several people occupied the larger, warmer spring. I opted for the unpopulated, more tepid pool to the left. It was crystal clear and pleasantly warm. I undressed and stepped into the water. After a bit, a naked couple approached, having left the other pool and were lo..."oking to moderate their temperature somewhat. After chatting a while, I moved to the other pool and was greeted there by friendly folks, a family with extras. My soak lasted into the darkness, the moon was rising above the walls of the canyon. Other visitors came and went. The experience was extraordinary...for the people interaction and for the therapeutic benefits of the warm springs.   "3 pools, each with a sand or stone bottom. The temps were under 100 degrees, maybe 97 or 98. A little cooler than some others, but you can enjoy the water at those temps for a long time! The hike down to the Rio Grande is about a mile, with an easier grade. "

  "It's an adventure to try to find these hot springs. You basically have to go off-roading for a bit, and then hike down the canyon. Parts of the hike are slick with loose gravel. The views are stunning, though. At the bottom of the trail are two hot springs pools. One is warmer but filled with algae...." We hiked around a bit and soaked in the hot springs for a good hour.
