The Backwaters of Kerala is unique and is found nowhere else in the world. Backwaters are a network of lakes, canals and estuaries and deltas of forty-four rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea. The backwaters of Kerala are a self supporting eco-system teeming with life. The most exciting aspect of Kuttanadu is the Kettuvallam (traditional Houseboat) which has become the most popular tourism product in India today.

"Kence from Eco Trails tailored us a four night combo in Kerala backwaters area with a excellent cooking class in Maya Heritage to be followed by one night in Kottayam village/ Heritage house and two nights in the backwaters cruising with a fancy 2 bedroom houseboat. In all places we were met by genu..."ine hospitality and professional staff. In person Kence turned out to be a very reliable and outspoken gentleman with good language skills, professional attitude and profound interest in giving travellers ever lasting memoirs of Kerala. We were left wanting to come back as soon as possible, and we will.

"one of the beautiful place I ever visited, the narrow ghat road give a lot of tension may shoot up your blood pressure, but you love to visit these god's own place "
"If you are in Kumarakom, spend an hour visiting the Bay Island Driftwood museum. it is worth your time. The museum houses beautiful objects crafted by nature through centuries. They have been painstakingly recovered and preserved by Mrs. Raji Punnoose from the Bay Islands of Andaman. You would be fa..."scinated by some of the sculptures. the lady is a bundle of energy and would guide you through the museum. The museum is house in the ground floor of a two-storey building, but there enough objects here to attract you for about an hour. You can also buy artifacts from here. The entry is priced at Rs. 50. It is a worthwhile experience and I would recommend the museum to any visitor having at least a cursory interest in watching really beautiful things.
