On the fort side of Diu town is the island's last remaining fully-functional church, St Paul's. Completed in 1610, the church has an excellent baroque facade and a very fine selection of wooden panelling and furniture inside, including an extravagantly carved 400 year old pulpit.

"I loved the collection of Shells at this place. Got to see many different types. The only thing the museum could work on is the cleanliness...the racks are quite dusty. Overall a good place to visit. They charge an Entry Fee of 10 rupees and do not allow photography."
"Worth a visit anytime....impressive location and the view from the ramparts are amazing, the surreal feel of the unending sea complemented by azure skies and emerald vegetation of this tropical island. Just sat on the bastions and gazed at the sea imagining those hardy soldiers keeping watch. The Je..."suits influence is paramount and the soldier missionary spirit abounds as each bastion is named after a saint with a prayer room and bells. Surprisingly very little litter compared to indian standards, but sadly walls are defaced by ragamuffins with no sense of history and culture, senseless and irresponsible graffiti abounds. Lastly, as usual ASI takes the cake in neglecting this little nugget of Diu.
Tip: Do carry enough drinking water, especially in case of children, some sloped approach are steep and can be a challenge to the elderly folks.
Definitely visit if you are near Diu

"Indian forts and museums are generally completely run-down and dirty places. Once you've been to India a few times you learn to see more than what meets the eye.
Diu Fort is a great place to walk around, feel and discover the history of the place. It is in better condition than many forts I have vis..."ited in India, and relatively clean.
Beware, they don't have the same health and safety laws as us, and you will often find yourself looking over a long drop into a moat or onto rocks without any safety barrier - a good lesson in not depending on a nanny state, I say !
At more than one point the wheelchair access demands a lot of courage from wheelchair users !!
