Andaman and Nicobar Islands Attractions: What to do & Places to Visit in Andaman and Nicobar Islands
"We travelled partly by Ferry and partly by jeep and reached the hill top driving through forest. It is the highest point of Portblair and we had a good view of the sea, light house, Sunami affected areas etc from the view tower. The Park has colourful plants, varieties of trees, a special Mango tree..." giving very small size of mangoes, Christmas tree etc. If one can take a walk of 15 to 20 minutes into the forest, chirping and sounds made by various kinds of birds can be heard. At the hill top the weather was cooler than Portblair due to the height, surrounding forest.

"Ross Island is the first of a three island stopover that includes Viper and North Bay.
Ross was the administrative post of the British in the late19th century and its ruins and little museum, Smritika make for great viewing.
The coconut vendors at Ross are busy doing brisk business and the c..."oconut water is refreshing after a brisk walk around the island.
