Located on Route 225 to Ensenada, and only 16 km from downtown Puerto Varas, the farm is surrounded by rolling fields overlooking the lake and the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. The dairy cows of Danish Jersey origin are milked daily to provide the basic ingredient in the preparation the traditional homemade recipe of delicious manjar of the highest quality. This farm stands out for its good field management practices, a proper milking routine, sound animal health management, rigorous hygiene standards and special care for the environment.Visitors can tour the facilities of the milking shed, calf barn and feeding patio; learn about production inside the small processing plant, taste freshly made manjar and purchase products in the souvenir shop. This is a delicious opportunity to live an experience that combines the best of our southern farms with the sweetest of our traditional Chilean confections. « less

This unique water voyage is set upon a 65-foot long wooden vessel that has all of the trimmings of a boat from the early 1900s. The boat holds up to 50 passengers and begins its sail around Lake Llanquihue from its own private pier. It heads south from Puerto Varas, giving guests a chance to see the private beaches and houses on the southern shores of the lake. The total package includes a cocktail, open bar, music, troll fishing, bilingual guide, and if you’re lucky, a great sunset. Although it is a bit touristy and not the cheapest option for enjoying the evening twilight, it’s not often that one can say they set sail on a true colonial ship. « less
