We did two tours - a day trip to Tikal and the ATM caves. Ou..."r Tikal experience could not have been possible without help from Albert (the owner) who personally came with us on this tour. Luis our tour guide was well read in the astronomy and astrology - so, he could explain the Mayan basis for geometrical and astrological calculations and their parallel's in Vedic Astrology to us. We also learned about leaf cutter ants, termite colonies, howler and spider monkeys and saw a racoon like creature and a red fox while touring the ruins. The tour to ATM cave was amazing.
