"Today our ship anchored at Yorky's Knob and after the tender took us to shore we boarded a Coach/Bus for a tour of Cairns stopping for a few hours at Palm Cove. An unexpected vehicle breakdown gave us time to explore the area and enjoy a relaxing lunch on the beach at Palm Cove. Swimming was permitt..."ed within the shark proof netted area but a warning was posted to be aware that stingers were a threat.
After a stroll from the pier down to the resort / hotel we decided to buy a take away meal and eat it in one of many picnic sheds available where we sat, ate and enjoyed the picturesque view. After a long lunch break we were joined by the Tour Guide from our Coach/Bus who advised us that a replacement coach/bus had been sent to pick us up from our picnic table. Within an hour we were back on board our Cruise ship which had been anchored within in view.

"This place is fantiastic! You can get up close to a croc and even get a photo taken holding one. Do the boat tour and hope to get Duncan as your driver - he is a very funny man!"
"Well laid out a plenty to see. I was a little disappointed at the feeding because the audience was behind the feeder and protection fences and visibility was very limited. Other venues I have seen put the audience on the other side of the pool for an uninterrupted view. The boat trip was great an..."d views were great and the driver turned the boat around so that both sides of the boat saw the feeding. I got some great movie footage of the jumping crocs.
