The space has also recently transitioned to be known as the Blue Body Buddha Sanctuary - linking it with a well-established meditation and wellness centre, the Blue Body Spiritual Centre based in Perth, WA. Despite the change of name, the Buddha Sanctuary remains closely connected with Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa and offers daily yoga classes for resort guests and locals. Spending quiet time at the Buddha Sanctuary is a must for anyone visiting Broome. Established more than 10 years ago as a space for the local community, the Buddha Sanctuary is home to a 4 metre tall, crystal Buddha that harnesses the energy of Buddha Kuan Yin (goddess of Mercy and Compassion). The Yoga Pavilion, open decking area and ornamental garden offers visitors a special space for quiet reflection, meditation and relaxation. The Buddha Sanctuary is open from 7am - 10am and 4pm - 7pm on most days. Yoga classes are currently held Monday to Friday (6am & 7.30am) with an additional evening class at 5.15pm on Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays. « less
