"We found Castello di Monterinaldi through TripAdvisor as the number one rated attraction in Tuscany. Right on! I emailed Frabrizio on Sunday requesting a reservation for their Hiking...Wine...Food@Monterinaldi experience. We couldn't have been more pleased. We arrived on time at 10am and were met b..."y Fabrizio. After giving us a tour of the cellar and explaining their range of products, he introduced our guide - Marco-Antonio - who proceeded to give us a wonderful two hour walking (hiking) tour of the vineyard. We learned not only the details of grape and olive growing, he also gave us a history of the land, of Tuscany and of all the various flora and fauna of the area. After the hike it was back to the villa for a delicious Tuscan lunch, accompanied by five paired wines. It was a perfect day (plan to spend about 5 hours).

"We were staying at the My One Hotel Radda and were recommended a trip to this winery. What a wonderful experience. We were greeted by a lovely German lady (sorry didn't get her name). She proceeded to give us a one on one wine tasting experience. During this the winery's neighbours came in to bu..."y a whole heap of wine, it was lovely to chat to them and see that even the neighbours like the winery.
After our wine tasting she shut the winery and took us to the cellars for a tour and walked us through the entire process from picking to labeling. We bought a couple of bottles of Chianti Classico Reservi and were then allowed to walk around wherever we wanted so we went up to the top field to look at the vines from which our wine was made.
In all a very memorable experience, the only downside is we cant buy the wine in the UK. So I guess we will just have to go back.

"No temperature control b/c of the 3-4 feet thick stone walls? Baller!!!
This was a fantastic stop on our ride from Radda to Florence. Very nice tour, wonderful wine and nice snacks. My mom, who hardly ever drinks wine, actually enjoyed this a lot.
Only 5 Euro per person tasting. And obviously,..." you can have as much as you like.
