Discover how 300 years of farming and rural home life have shaped and altered Scotland's countryside. Tour the period farmhouse for a sense of what living on a farm was really like more than 50 years ago, and meet the animals on the historic working farm: Ayrshire cows, Tamworth pigs, Scots dumpy hens, black-faced sheep and Clydesdale horses.

"My only moan about this place is the disorganised entry system to the conservatory, I stood for over ten minutes with my children whilst my friend queued in the very slow gift shop to pay the £1.20 adult entry fee (children under 16 are free). I this time I must have seen at least a dozen people sa..."unter straight through the foyer and in there for free - how annoying! The facilities though are very good and we really enjoyed the outdoor play area which can be accessed for free. In the conservatory are a variety of interesting things, plus its warm which was a god-send on the cold day that we visited. Outside the gardens are lovely and the small zoo appealing to the little ones. Would definitely visit again.

"There are some of the best waterfalls in Scotland in this park. Follow the path from Torrance House towards High Blantyre. The Trough Linn, Black Linn & Castle Falls are the best. Good wildlife in the glen."
"Fantastic for walking in the country air good to see some canada and grey lag geese as well as other wildlife.Only dislike why do people insist on turning public parks into what resembles a cemetery."
