- Hazel CNeuss, Germany41 contributionsThis was Niedersachsen‘s first Landesgartenschau and has been keep and maintained in an excellent way. We visited late May and many Rhododendrons were still in full bloom. Fantastic displays and lots of garden ideas - a must place to visit in this area!Written May 24, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 15scotty47Hamburg, Germany71 contributionsWe enjoyed a pleasant boat trip on the lake. Very green along the banks apart from a couple of bathing spots and hotels. Color provided by windsurfers and people sailing. Drinks and cake, icecream sundaes (very good!) available. The tour takes about an hour.Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Up to today here live people, who are taking care of their own specific language, the ammerlandic Platt. Besides that there are even broader "typical" features of this area. One has to come and see or experience their hospitality. It`s quite worthwile to pay them a visit.
I recommend visiting to each traveller of this norther part of Germany dont miss this wonderful garden. You`ll be surprised of the variety of Rhododendron, of the specific scills of the Bruns family and their staff for cultivation of plants and trees There are many, many suggestions for the design of the garden of one's own to be looked at and they offer really kind know-how advisers!Written May 27, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. During a recent trip back to my home town, we had a memorial service for my mother followed by a burial in the cemetery surrounding the church.
The church itself has been around since the early 1200's. The grounds around the church are simply beautiful with the Zwischenahner Meer (Lake) in the background. The interior looks like a step back in time with what appear to be many original crafts and other adornments on the walls, pulpit and pews.
To simply see this old structure both on this inside, outside and surrounding area is worth your time. I have learned a greater appreciation for history in part through visiting this church this year as well as a brief visit in the summer of 2016.Written April 29, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It looks very new wind mill and it's indeed renovated in 2012. The mill was from 1834, though and it's owned by the 6th generation now. It was Christmas so we couldn't go inside but we could make some pictures and read the information of the mill. It has a different shape than the mills we've seen beforeWritten December 26, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well, there was no 3 mountains ( Dreibergen) but 3 small hills next to each others. So we did take a walk up and down the hills.Written December 26, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
