Oh yes....if you don't like steep hikes there is a tram to get you there. The self-guided tour was reasonably priced and the tour narration was recorded. The electronic narration had a 5 Euro deposit which I got back at the end of the tour. If you enjoy German history, the "royal family" was active in the Kaiser Reich, enjoying a high position within the Kaiser's hierarchy. Basically the construction looked Gothic, at least to me.   "Fantastic views, and well worth the 6euro entrance fee. You get the views without paying, but the inside of the castle is brilliant. And get the audio guide for 2.50. The little train also goes up to the castle if you don't fancy the walk. Allow at least 2 hours."
