What travelers are saying
- Kim628Reading, UK172 contributionsA great little distillery in Brive. Lovely to taste all the drinks on offer and to see how the drinks have been made through the ages.
Parking is not ideal but the town of Brive has plenty of slots to take most size vehicles.Written September 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The caves of St Antoine really well looked after with printed explanations outside each shrine. A little easy walk up the hill to the Church and then to the top of the hill for views over Brive.Written June 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - annieh0pFrance12 contributionsThe Mortlake Tapestries are exceptional - about 5 ceiling to floor tapestries in excellent condition. A great number of fascinating local products. But very little information and what is there is minimal typed in small print - no additional printed information. But still well worth a visit - closed Tuesday afternoon.Written November 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands3,936 contributionsThis is an attractive market where small entrepeneurs offer fresh produce such as vegetables, fruit and flowers. There are also various other products for sale (cheese, other dairy, meat, poultry) and there are some stalls selling clothes. Like in other parts of the region vendors are friendly and polite.
It is an open air market, but part of it is covered.
There is a car park below the market premises.
Very good to get an impression of the local culture.Written August 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A working knowledge of French would help a lot as exhibits are labelled and explained in French and the delightful staff speak little English.
The biggest task the museum needs to do is to cordinate their audio tour in English with the numbers on the walls. Ay present they simply do not synchronise. - PatrickESligo, Ireland177 contributionsA very nice church in the middle of a very nice town. A break in a hot day. The church is worth a visit in its own right. What adds to it is that it is in the middle of a pretty town. Nice stained glass windows and many other nice features including the baptismal font. It has a crypt however it was not opened when we were visiting.Written June 16, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Freedom5779518562410 contributionsI have ordered Moroccan food with different dishes and savoury for entertaining my Guest for an evening party. The food was very tasty 😋 the presentation excellent 👌🏼 and the service very good and with a smile 👍. I look forward to use Maady food on my future visit to Brive. My guest were very impressed with the quality of food; the Pastila with Chicken and Almonds was the star of the evening 😋 surprisingly surpassed the Authentic Moroccan dishes of Couscous and Tagine.Written December 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
