The farm park offers lots of animals to see and feed, two fantastic play areas, small animal petting and horse rides during weekends and school holidays, a cafe serving delicious home-cooked specials and desserts, a farm shop selling toys and gifts, refreshments and free-range home produced meat, eggs and goats milk ice cream and a plant sales area. The farm also runs a day service for local people with learning disabilities and also hosts Riding for the Disabled lessons on Friday mornings. Admission:Adults £2.50Children £1.50 (under 12 months free of charge)Admission prices correct as of 1st March 2012.Groups of 15 or more must book a guided tour, for which there is an additional charge.Small animal petting sessions and horse rides are available every weekend and during KMBC school holidays - please see our website for times. Petting costs £1 per person and horse rides are £2 per ride.Acorn Farm is a working farm as well as a visitor attraction and sells home-produced free-range eggs, beef, pork and lamb. We also produce our own goats milk ice cream in a wide range of delicious flavours. Special events and activities are often held at the farm, including our Halloween Party and Christmas Grotto. Acorn Farm also run an extensive educational programme, which consists of incubator hire, Animobile mobile farm and guided tours.We have a birthday party room available to hire for £40 and also run an animal sponsorship programme - the perfect gift for any animal lover or fan of the farm!(All prices displayed are liable to alteration without notice. You can learn to ride without leaving the City, in the beautiful outdoor setting of the former Earl of Sefton's stables in Croxteth Country Park, Liverpool's biggest park. Our instructors are experienced, fun to work with, suitably qualified and we are proud of our teaching success. Our Pony Club team are currently the national champions (of the UK Pony Club Centres). We are equally proud of our horses and ponies. We own all of them, so we know how important it is to select the best and look after them well. We teach lessons in a fenced outdoor riding school with a sand surface (known as a menage) and also in the fields in summer. You can also ride out (hack) on the bridle tracks in the Park.We are open six days a week (closed Mondays), with daytime and evening lessons under floodlights.A British Horse Society Approved Riding Centre. « less

Please see our online Tee Booking system for details, discounts apply on Mondays.Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake has staged major tournaments throughout its long history including 11 Open Championships. The Open made a successful return to Hoylake in 2006 when Tiger Woods achieved his third victory. The Women's British Open will be played at Hoylake for the first time in 2012, then the Open returns in 2014. The Club was formed in 1869, making it the second oldest links in England. Hoylake has a long and distinguished history of golfing firsts: It was host to the inaugural men’s amateur championship in 1885; the first ever international match between Scotland & England in 1902; the first Home International matches & the first transatlantic contest between GB&I & the USA in 1921, an event which became the Walker Cup the following year. In fact, it is Hoylake's contribution to the amateur game that has set it apart from other clubs. The historic memorabilia in the clubhouse is well reknowned.
