"Its just down the road from where we live, a favourite of dog walkers, ramblers, bird watchers. Sea on one side, marsh and site of special scientific interest on the other.
Nice walk from Lymington to Keyhaven. Best pub (slightly off the walk) is the Chequers, our local, idiosyncratic but go..."od

"What a brilliant afternoon out, we were welcomed aboard by Carol, and Alan soon had us underway towards the needles. As first time fishermen (and women !) Alan was patient and helped us learn the ropes, whilst the ladies enjoyed a good natter with Carol in the warm Cabin. Carol was an excellent host..."ess. Afternoon tea and bubbly whilst having a go at fishing was a brilliant combination - not too serious, but a great way to learn. Alan is incredibly knowledgeable and the equipment and boat were first class. Thoroughly recommended. May have been beginners luck, but we caught whiting, pouting and a thornback or two.

The channel is clearly marked & there's a gadget which monitors the depth of water so the risk of going aground is very low. I then headed in the other direction & ventured out into the Solent. I didn't cross over to the Isle of Wight as I wasn't quite brave enough this time but it didn't look that far away & the water was quite calm so 'maybe next time'.......
The boat will take 4 people comfortably & I believe that there are plans for some larger boats soon. Children are welcome, as are dogs.
For a family day ou...
