There are some nice stands to the right of the pavilion (facing the play) with comfortable 'bucket' seats. Near the main entrance there is plentiful terrace seating which get the sun for much of the say and particularly in the evening which can be a plus if there is a cool wind. However it is bench type seating with no back supports so not ideal for those with bad backs. There are car parks not too far away but I tend to park on the seafront. £6 all day but it is a 7/8 minute uphill walk to the cricket ground.   "Seemed to walk for ages, and as we finally got to the entrance, we were pretty sure our legs were going to collapse, but it all soon became worth it for the amazing and stunning views. The history of the castle ,add it a really interesting trip too!"
