We visited Hallstatt and we went up to the Top of Hallstatt attraction by funicular.
We took some photos about the amazing view from the World Heritage View Point. Don't miss it if you are in Hallstatt.

Wonderful experience! Our tour guide was phenomenal and presented in both German and (very easily understood) English flawlessly. The visuals and videos along the tour through the mine were incredible and brought the story to life, giving a glimpse into what it was like to live in Hallstatt and work in the mine so long ago. Our favorite parts were the two slides and the train ride at the end. So much fun! A highlight of our visit to Hallstatt for sure.

Hallstatt is a very picturesque village on the lake Hallstatt, southeast of Salzburg. The streets of the village are ideal for walking and you will definitely find beautiful corners. You can enjoy a boat ride on the lake as well. Cars are not allowed in the village but there are spacious parkings at a distance of 100-200 meters from the entrance of the village. Around the village and the lake the visitor can walk on beautiful paths. Near the parking area there is a cable car, which takes you over the village. Near the end of the cable car is the Skywalk, an artificial platform with amazing views of the lake and the village. Ideal spot for photography. In the area there is also the very interesting Christina salt mine, which can be visited with a guide. The visitor of the mine follows a specific route on foot and by train and will get to know the historical evolution of the salt mining process from the Bronze Age until today. Very interesting.

As an Austrian, I took the chance during the Corona period and visited Hallstatt. A nice village, but there are similar nice cities in Austria.
    Parking costs € 9 for 4 hours

This is perhaps one of the key attractions at Hallstatt. For a nominal entrance fee, you will be able to see skulls in this pretty small room and you will be given an sheet of information when you pay the entrance fee. However, you are required to return the sheet. Worth a visit and wouldn't take >20 mins.

It was a pretty easy hike up the paved path which took approx. 15 mins. Not much water during winter though but nice views over the late and town.

Interesting stories about pre-history and salt mining, told partly based on the excavations of ancient graves near the town.
    Worth an hour's visit.

The town of Hallstatt is famous for its salt production and subterranean salt lake. But the views from the town are picturesque. Badestrand in German means bathing beach. Nobody was swimming when we visited but it's a great place for a picture. We stopped in Hallstatt as part of a Viator tour that included stops in Hallstatt, Melk and Salzburg. I recommend the tour.

    Evangelische Pfarrkirche Hallstatt
Wonderful little church sitting on the banks of Hallstatter Lake with it clock tower seen from all over the town. Compared to the Catholic churches all over, the inside of this Lutheran church is beautiful in a simple way.

I was lucky to have found the EU Shuttle Bus Service, since a majority of Shuttle Service that used to be operating near the area stopped due to the Covid situation. Daniel answered my phone call on a late Saturday night and took his time to explain all the details about how to book my trip. I had 3 trips with them in total: from Salzburg to Hallstatt, from Hallstatt to Czesky Krumlov, and from there to Prague. All drivers are very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend their service to anyone who wish to travel in this area with a peace of mind !

Also the lake was freeze in some points. The view of course perfect. Also the town was amazing. It was nice walking near lake and also The historical town. Which was the one of the oldest in the world. We could take boat tour be a-cause was very cold.
