  "I went to see auroras. The forty minute journey up on the ski lift was under clear skies with an aurora looping overhead. Simply breathtaking. The scenery alone is worth the trip but the real treat is the northern lights. This s worth whatever the cost is. For me it was the trip of a lifetime."

  "We did not have a booking but the site said you could still try for tickets at the counter. The lady at the counter was very helpful and we did get the tickets. Abisko lived up to its reputation of having clear skies. reading their site we got the impression that we would watch the aurora from the warmth of a cabin, through glass but that is not the case, we were out on the mountain. The thermal suits were great and we could stay out comfortably for long periods of time, only occasionally going in to warm our feet. looking back it seems foolish to think we would be looking at the aurora from a warm cabin. Cloudy skies is the obstacle to seeing the lights from land and Abisko seems to overcome the obstacle.   "This was one of the better Sami museums that we visited. The displays were of a high quality and it was very well set-up for children. Interesting knick-knacks were available for sale in the shop - overall, it was an enjoyable experience"
