  "We did a half day tour of Pisa, with Albatravel Group Firenze (Gartours), which was booked by our travel agent. We left the bus and walked the distance to the walled area where the Tower, the Piazza del Duomo (and Cathedral), Baptistery and Cemetery were located. We opted to have the entry to the ..."Tower included in our tour price. The entry to the Duomo was included in the tour. We had a very lively, knowledgeable and funny local guide, who took us through the Duomo and explained the history of the area and its importance to the local people. We climbed the almost 300 steps to the top of the tower, which was physically demanding. The good thing was that once we arrived at the top and saw the bells and the great view, we forgot how tired we were! Of course we had to descend and by that stage there was another group going up and it got very tight! There wasn’t enough time to visit the Baptistery and Cemetery and the entry to these is extra.
