Teaching of the highest quality and the commitment of the entire Koine staff have become the school's trademark. Our policy is to have several schools in different locations. Only 7 kilometers from the city centre of Lucca, the Villa Grabau offers a lovely, romantic environment: the wonderful English Garden is a special example of botanical garden and keeps trees from all over the world;absolutely do not miss it in autumn....the colours are the most beautiful you can find in the area;and in summertime it is the perfect place to spend a lovely time. The Limonaia is a real jewel, perfectly preserved from 1640; the Italian Garden will appear to you as if coming suddenly from the past, with its valuable collection of lemon trees in rich old terracotta pots;the elegant groundfloor of the Villa is totally furnished and the rooms show amazing frescoes.

"I went 2 nights running to these concerts: the first night in the small venue next to the Duomo featuring 2 tenors; the second night in the more usual church of San Giovanni featuring tenor & soprano. Both were very good but the second had the edge because the larger space had better acoustics for t..."he big voices. Both tenors had big voices which filled the smaller space almost to bursting even though the intimate space was delightful. The standard of performance was high, the pianists excellent and the length of program of about an hour perfect.

"Our group of 6 contracted Wanda for three separate tours and all were excellent. Day one was Lucca , the city. The second was the outstanding villas in the hills and lastly we toured the quarries of Carrara and Puccini's house in Viareggio. No matter what the topic, Wanda had what we needed to kno..."w and made it interesting for all of us.
We also noticed how well known Wanda was around the area and how easily she and all of the sites we visited worked together. She is a true gem of a tour guide.

"The Museo Nazionale di Villa Guinigi is a beautiful museum. It's collection spans from the Etruscan period to the Neo-classical. The various artefacts and paintings are well displayed in a modern fashion. We certainly got away from the crowds here, but that was a shame as it is such a good museum ..."and deserves more visitors.
