Opera y Flamenco is a unique fusion of lyrical opera singing, Spanish tradition and the magic of flamenco. The turbulant love story of the dancers is interpreted by their own souls, the soprano and the tenor. The production has been running continuously since 2004 and has been seen by over 2,000,000 visitors. Gran Gala Flamenco celebrates the art form inscribed by UNESCO in 2010 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Moving through the different palos (different musical forms that is characterized by a variety of musical features such as its rhythmic patterns, its mode and its characteristic motifs such as Fandango, Seguidilla, Alegria, Buleria, Tarantos, Guajira...), You will be able to enjoy a perfect union of heart and soul, music and dance in all its aspects, that since the beginning of time has characterised the heart of Spanish tradition. « less

The audience chooses the theme for the following month and performers can sign up to sing, dance, act, recite or perform anything related to the theme. Much of the work is in Catalan or Spanish, expecially if it's theater but also, many of the songs are in English and of course the dance needs no other language. The entrance costs €4-€8 depending on what you care to contribute and offers people, no matter where they are from the possibility of interacting with locals. « less
