A journey through the history of Zaragoza and Aragon, in wich sculpture and painting, shake hands with the most sumptuous pieces parts with three audiovisual and the rooms of the palace will make the visit a memorable experience. Over a set of spaces formerly known as “Bishop Houses”, residence of saints, popes, bishops and kings of Aragon, there is a dual path that allows to know the most important historical areas of the Aragonese history, all supported by a series of innovative video mapping projected on the old building and they bring a new concept of what should be a diocesan museum, in this case supported several national awards. The Diocesan Museum of Zaragoza, divided into three floors and over 5000 m2 shows visitors a valuable collection of sacred art funds from the Archbishop´s Palace and parishes of the Diocese.Hightlighting the rooms devoted to medieval sculpture, the halls of the great masters of Aragonese Gothic painting, works of Damian Forment and Francisco Bayeu, important pieces of jewelry as the cup of the Compromise of Caspe or the large Pelican Stewardship and Flemish tapestries designed by Raphael and the Throne room that houses the gallery of portraits of the archbishops wich include Goya. « less
