- Jake CGreater Manchester, UK157 contributions5* for how informative and tasteful the memorial is to the victims, but be in no doubt this is not a happy experience. If you visit the Dachau memorial, expect to read and hear harrowing accounts of how the Nazis treated innocent people from all walks of life, not just Jews.
The memorial is free to visit, and offers an interesting perspective on WWII history in Bavaria.
The memorial is around 30-40 minute walk from Dachau train station, but there is a regular bus service which you can take from the bus station to the memorial, which takes 5-10 minutes.Written February 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Make sure to take the tour inside.Written February 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- areyoudocVancouver Island, Canada17 contributionsWe enjoyed the history and seeing so many cool cars. Several were limited production and so special. Loved seeing Elvis’s car with an Elvis soundtrack accompanying. Easy access by tram and great 1/2 day experience.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John D2 contributionsWe’ve been there back in February. What a great time we had there. We’re so lucky with the weather! Breathtaking views to Austria and Italy. After all we had lunch in the restaurant. Quite decent food to a fair price!Written March 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DipuKVPune, India2,656 contributionsCould only view it from the outside. The whole area is beautiful! An oasis of calm, the place is a great spot for people watching, selfies / clicks / views and strolling.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David LouisLiverpool, UK6 contributionsBeautiful historic palace situated in western Munich – the grounds are massive, while the palance itself is extraordinary. In short, definitely worth the price and visit. Can easily spend 1-2 hours in the palace itself while another 1-2 hours walking around the grounds, through the various ponds, streams, and structures around. Lots of historical info through each of the palace rooms. Minor unfortunate thing are some of the additional buildings are an extra cost, so difficlut to determine whether worth itWritten January 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChengshengSingapore7 contributionsOne of the most beautiful church interiors, albeit a bit faded. Maybe its the lighting. Looks much better in photo than what you actually see.Written December 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
