"There is nothing to dislike about Annecy or the lake - a fantastic holiday venue for all the family with sailing, swimming in crystal clear alpine water, cycling around a dedicated cycle track that is over 22 miles long and borders the lake. The hire charges are very reasonable too. Hop-onHop-off sm..."all ferry-type boats traverse the lake every hour and there are so many places to stop visit we ran out of time - just wish we had stayed two weeks rather than one.

"The boat trip around the lake, and the two hour trip flies by, is a wonderful calming experience. The mountains, the crystal clear water, the beautiful homes along the way all make for an unforgettable experience."
"This private park on the Fier river was built with walkways for tourists in the 1890s. The drive out from Annecy is only a gentle 40 minutes, and full of lovely view of alpin farms and towns. One can approach from the south or north, - I recommend the northern route through the town of Lovagne. T..."IP: Pack a picnic lunch of bread, wine, cheese and fruit. There is no picnicing allowed at the gorges park, but there is a lovely community park right at the top of the hill in Lovagny, with shaded tables, beautiful views, and a place for the children to play.
