"As a local I find the cost of some tourist attractions in Ireland absolutely scandalous but it was nice to know I for 3 euros I could get a well organized, to the point and interesting tour. You will need to set aside about 90 minutes for the tour which starts with a 15 minute audio-visual presentat..."ion which is alright. The trip down into the cave is interesting and it isn't too cold (though do wrap up). The guide was good handled questions and a group of young kids very well.
The visitor center has a cafeteria (not open, out of season most likely) and is quite modern and well kept. Worth a detour if you are in Kilkenny, it is about 10-15 minutes out of the town.

"We spent a wet Saturday afternoon as part of a Hen Party in Richenda's beautiful, warm and cosy kitchen. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and our afternoon was especially tailored for the Sweet Toothed among us as we learned to make delicious desserts. We were given tea and coffee with home..."made biscuits and truffles half way through. We then had the pleasure of tasting 5/6 desserts that Richenda prepared during the 2.5hr session. Each dessert was delicious and was served by Richenda and her assistant Elizabeth. The afternoon was fun and informative and it was a great way to spend a wet afternoon in a warm, cosy, and friendly environment. I would definitely recommend a visit as it's not to be missed!!

"This place was recommended by our front desk person. It is hidden from the major bar area but it is well worth it to look for it. Live music every day after 7 pm with some fun stories from the musicians. The food is good quality and the portions were pretty good size. The musicians are interacting w..."ith the guests as well they are willing to sing songs by order – if you have favorite Irish song they will sing it for you. A lot of people are just coming for the music and drink – no food. I will recommend this place if you want to have fun night out. Prices are normal – 10-15 euro per dish.
