- Katie LAuchterarder, UK13 contributionsMy Indian cookery school day with Swarna exceeded ALL expectations! We had a great time and loved every minute. Swarna is warm, funny and a brilliant cook who guides you effortlessly through the day, making it really informative (we loved hearing about the background to their family business & how the herbs are harvested back in India), relaxed and fun! I couldn't believe the amount of dishes we cooked in only 5 hours with still time to enjoy our cooking over a relaxed lunch. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit or giving a voucher as a present. A big thank you to Swarna and her brilliant team!Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joan A6 contributionsWe had a super fun morning with Ian who entertained and challenged our "seven to seventy" aged group with loads of activities in his huge outdoor den. Lots of firsts and a little healthy competition! Highly recommend especially on a fine winters day.Written November 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert SCarnoustie, UK509 contributionsAs we had previously been to the Red Deer Restaurant, we decided to stop there for a quick snack on a cold windy day. We were greeted warmly by the bar manager and we asked what the soup of the day was. On being told it was Minestrone, we both decided on that. It came very quickly. The soup was very hot and had plenty of vegetables in it. It was accompanied by small toasted roll. To follow we just had a couple of soft drinks. The service was excellent. The Red Deer Restaurant is open to all and is dog friendly. On that day the scenery was super with snow on the tops of the nearby hills. There is ample car parking adjacent to the club house. Everywhere was spotless. We will certainly revisit.Written March 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mumsthwrd3Bearsden, UK35 contributionsMarianne and Robin have created a place where every detail is aimed at a peaceful, refreshing and healing experience. I came along for a retreat organised by my church, but hope to return on my own again. The rooms are comfortable, the grounds well-tended and everything is lovingly kept in lovely condition. Spiritual nourishment is found here...Whether you know what you're looking for or not.Written November 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alan CScotland, UK2 contributionsA great experience for all the family. A very relaxing time and the quietest hour of the weeks holiday with everyone concentrating on their painting skills. Grandkids, son and granny all took part and all had an enjoyable time. The owner was extremely helpful and the premises were perfect. Highly recommended for everyone.Written February 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patrick B3 contributionsFantastic 6 day ride up the Outer Hebrides -Hebridean Way - Scot and his team organised with all logistics and most helpful advice on how to get the best trip in these remote Islands.
It was a beautiful ride and with Skinny Tyres behind us providing daily route plans and GPS maps we could not get lost and just had to pedal back and enjoy the magnificent scenery and the good food and friendly pubs, B&Bs, that we visited. Thoroughly recommend 100% Skinny Tyres !Written August 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I don’t feel stupid asking any questions and given I drive down from Aberdeen just to visit the shop, they are so welcoming. The cafe is excellent too. Can’t recommend enough. Love this shop!
The surroundings are absolutely stunning too!Written January 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Jam was a fantastic instructor and I felt completely safe even with a few wee tricks from his experienced piloting. Was fab to take my friend along and Jam gave us a great sightseeing day along with a go of the controls! I am still in shock I flew a plane (briefly!).Written October 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ClareHonor2 contributionsWe had a day with Dick carving wood as a family for the first time. Our children, aged 8-13, were utterly absorbed and were quiet and busy throughout which meant we were able to get fully engrossed too. Dick is a patient and kind teacher with loads of experience and all the kit you could dream of. We'd love to do it again.Written February 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rebecca SCrieff, UK19 contributionsI recently visited the Crieff ceramics with a friend and her daughter and we all had a great experience. Plenty of items to choose to paint for both adults and kids, with then additional options for glitter too. After noticing there were a range of items available to buy I then purchased 4 personalised piggie banks for some Christmas presents. After going over some ideas of what I wanted for each the end result was fantastic! So much effort was put into each piggie bank which I appreciated so much! I would absolutely recommend anyone to visit if they are looking for Individual and personalised gifts.Written November 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Isla S8 contributionsMy boyfriend and I visited For Arts Sake at the weekend. The owner was lovely and very attentive. It welcomes all ages! You just pick whichever item (the larger the item, the higher the price), then paint! There’s LOADS of choice such as teapots, mugs, plates, animal figures, mini campervans, xmas decorations etc. We both really enjoyed it and would highly recommend visiting!Written September 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennifer PPerth Hills, Australia12 contributionsLet's Cook Scotland caters for all tastes from the sweet tooth to the mediterranean. My Dad and went to the Italian cooking day and made 2 different breads, gnocchi, 2 sides and an amazing orange torte. The ages ranged from early 20's to 80. We learned, not only to cook, but about Italian history and geography. A great day was had by all and I thoroughly recommend their cooking course.Written December 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
