Also we had time to kill and hung around downstairs for some while before realising there was a workshop, model railway, shop, and short walk to a viewing point from upstairs! The signage at the entrance needs to be improved. One tip if coming by public transport from Merthyr.   "We had an enjoyable trip on the steam railway albeit a bit on the short side. The trip costs £11 per adult which we felt was a bit on the expensive side for such a short trip but was very enjoyable. The train is enclosed so is an all weather attraction and passes through some lovely scenery and past..." a vast reservoir where it stops for 20 minutes on its return. We went at the end of the day but if you went on an earlier train there are some lovely walks, where you could explore the area more and have a picnic.
