It was established to coordinate the management and operation of the Big Cat Sanctuary and to raise awareness and money to help fund in-situ conservation projects around the globe. The Big Cat Sanctuary is not open to the general public and can only be visited as part of a pre-arranged exotic animal experience or by joining one of our photographic workshops. The Big Cat Sanctuary is located in Kent, England. The site is 34+ acres in size and is quite open with large grass expanses and natural ponds. The enclosures are suited to the types of cats housed. The Sanctuary is home to over 50 large and small cats, some of which are within the European Endangered Species Breeding Programmes (EEP's)Amur tiger, Sumatran tiger, Fishing cat, Jaguar, Lynx, Serval, Jungle cat, Snow leopard, Amur leopard, Black leopard, Clouded leopard, Pallas Cats, White lions, Tawney lions, Rusty Spotted cat, Cheetah, Hybrid tigers, Puma and North Chinese leopard and may be more when you visit as we are always expanding!!The current specialist experiences which are held at WHF are: A Walking Safari with an overnight Lodge experience; Ranger Days; Big Cat Encounters; Cat Adoptions; Photographic Workshops for all abilities; Family Days.
