Set in 60 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside, the estate not only provides a beautiful setting for a range of classic car and bike weekends, but also hosts major motor racing championships. The Bugatti Owners Club was established in 1929 for all motoring enthusiasts regardless of what type of vehicle you drive. The Club is based at Prescott and purchased the estate in 1937, converting the muddy, rutted drive into a speed hiil climb in time for the opening rally in April 1938. The 1127 yard course rises over 200 feet via short straights, fast and slow corners and a breathtaking hairpin, with the fastest modern racing cars completing the course in an exciting 36 seconds. The action can be viewed from strategic points along the course as well as from the restaurant terrace. Visitors and competitors alike can enjoy an exhilarating days racing plus vintage cavalcades up the Hill. Whether you are a competitor, a car or bike enthusiast or someone who just likes a day out in beautiful surroundings Prescott is the place for you. « less

Until the year 1900, that role had been filled by the old Assembly Rooms in the High Street, and it was their demolition to make way for a bank that prompted the Council to build a new, and much larger Hall on a new site. The Town Hall, situated on Imperial Gardens in the centre of Cheltenham comprises of a Grand Main Hall, distinguished by its Corinthian styles columns and coved ceiling. « less

The town modernly offers superior shopping in its famous Cheltenham Promenade and nearby indoor malls, where shoppers can find many fashionable boutiques. The Cider House Cottage is a delightful Cotswold stone former cider house, which was once the cider barrel store at Noverton farm. The cottage now lies detached in the grounds of Hall Place House and has been converted for accommodation for guests staying at Hall Place. The cottage has its own separate facilities and can accommodate two people in a double bedroom which has its own en suite shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and downstairs cloak room. The cottage is often used by guests who are going to Cheltenham’s famous race course (located 1 mile from the farm) when they are staying for the Cheltenham Festival Gold Cup week. Many walkers have also stayed at the cottage, when they have used it as a starting point to explore the Cotswold Way, which runs through the farm. Some of the guests at the cottage have come to learn how to ride in both English and Western riding styles or top up on the skills they already have and have even brought their own horses to stay at the stables, for them to ride on holiday. Others have just come to enjoy the escorted riding, which is offered for visitors on their own horses or they can join me on one of my Western trained horses on the many wonderful trail rides that the area offers. The farm’s trails extend through meadows and woodland to the top of Prestbury Hill, as being at this point is a natural formation which is called a chelt. The Chelt is the Cotswold horseshoe escarpment which actually gave Cheltenham its name. This vantage point eventually offers the most wonderful vistas, which look out from Cleeve Cloud over the SevernValley across the slowly winding River Severn, to the blue Malvern Hills and the BlackWelshMountains, far beyond. « less
