Colchester Zoo is one of the finest Zoos in Europe with over 260 rare species in 60 acres. See "Playa Patagonia" with its 24 metre tunnel under the water to view sea lions swimming above your head and "Dragons of Komodo" for the infamous Komodo Dragons. At the "Spirit of Africa" you can see the breeding group of African elephants and at "Kingdom of the Wild" there's Zebras, Ostriches, White Rhinos, and Giraffes in a huge savannah style enclosure. Orangutan Forest opens 2009. Don't miss the chance to feed the elephants and giraffes yourself plus lots of other daily displays.

900 metres long... ten challenging corners... three full blast straights... two daunting hairpins... and the heart stopping Devil's Drop.. it all adds up to one of the fastest, most demanding kart circuits in the country. In a twin-engined Prokart, you'll be sitting an inch off the ground and hitting speeds of 60-70mph - definitely one of the most sensational experiences on four wheels

"We where very impressed with our 1st visit. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The museum was awesome very informative and described their jam history very well. The Tea Room was outstanding. Very smart and spotlessly clean. We where seated straight away and we had a lovely table. The waitre..."ss was very quick to take our order and very polite and helpful. We opted for the cream tea with homemade, fresh, tasty cheese scones, your delicious apricot jam, butter and ample clotted cream. I had a refreshing pot of Assam tea for 1 and actually got 3 teacups which was value for the price. The display of homemade, fresh cakes and sweets was very pleasing to the eye. My husband had a very large cup of freshly ground black coffee which was also delicious. The shop was amazing with plenty of choice of your products which we bought many of. We will definitely be visiting again very soon. Thank you...XXX

"Have just taken my 2 grandchildren age 8 and 6 for the first time this year, but their third time in total. They love the farm and so do I. The picnic area with brook running through and a tree over the brook and a rope swing and bridges with(trolls underneath of course) is just magical. Wellies and..." a change of clothes a must. Had only been there 5 minutes and the grandson had fallen off the trunk into the brook, all part of the fun.
The farmer keeps kids and adults informed, educated and entertained. His passion and care for the animals and the farm is infectious. Adults and children enjoyed bottle feeding the lambs today and cuddling the kids. I had my first experience of milking the cow and so did the children. The children also loved the pony cart ride.
The day rounded off with Yogipops and the purchase of their delicious Lord of the Hundreds cheese. Perfik!
