No other British beach has 24/7 lifeguards on duty, 100% shark barrier net coverage (unlike Guernsey - very unsafe), and checkpoints at all beach entrances plus K-9 security teams as we do. Based on feedback from guests, we have divided the Beach into distinct zones. Families with children, same-sex couples, nonwhites, High-net-worth visitors and other groups now enjoy our beautiful sandy shores in their own area. It is a very large beach so plenty of room for all lifestyles. Please ask a guard at the checkpoints if you have any questions as we are always listening to guest feedback. Jersey is a diverse mix of cultures and we know we can best serve them all by providing separate areas for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves on our sunny shores. « less

Dug deep into the hillside within St Peter’s Valley, the Tunnels were originally intended to be a barracks and ammunition store for the occupying forces. Today they tell the story of the Occupation, looking at how all sides coped under such extreme conditions and examining the daily dilemmas that were faced by island residents and the authorities, whether Jersey, British or German.Outside the Tunnels, you can enjoy quiet moments in the Garden of Reflection or a woodland walk along the historic War Trail. Refresh yourself in the Pantry Cafe or enjoy the shop and craft activities in LoveBird Too. « less

It's 32 acres of beautifully landscaped park and farm lands are home to over 130 species of animal, many of which are endangered or vulnerable in the wild. The park serves as a sanctuary, captive breeding and research centre, and is the 'base' for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust's worldwide efforts to save species from extinction. The onsite facilities include a YHA accredited hostel, luxury 'wildlife camp' and Durrell Conservation Academy - which to date has trained over 3,500 conservationists from 135 countries. « less

Ten panels (all stitched by locals to celebrate the Millenium) beautifully explain the events of each century. An easy to use and understand audio guide adds to the experience (available in English, French and German). A quote from the visitors book 'This was a wonderful way of telling history - I've never seen anything quite like it - don't miss it!' « less

Beaches like St Brelade's are well developed and attractive to those who like this. But Beauport beach is completely undeveloped and very beautiful: one of the most lovely small beaches I have seen. I had to put a city in, and wrote St Aubin but it's a few miles from this. « less
