  "Attended on Saturday 01/06/13. This was our first time at a "Pro" rodeo, having been to an amateur one 2 weeks before. The Recreation centre itself looks like it is a great facility for the local community. On the day we were there, there was a small fairground outside, more suitable for children no..."t really an adult themed one. There was a hall with lots of trade stands in it that was somewhat disappointing. More like a "craft fair" than anything to do with rodeo or rodeo themes, which is what we were expecting. Inside this hall was also an amateur singing contest which was quite entertaining in places. The rodeo itself is an evening one getting underway at 7pm. It is in an indoor arena surrounded by, naturally fences but also a high plastic screen all round. The worst part of this set up is that the sound system from where we sat (near the steer pens at one end), was practically inaudible.
