" We were in San Diego for a day and were dead keen to visit Tijuana, none of the bigger tour companies were operating on the day we had available. Fortunately I found Derrik's tour company on the internet and we decided to go with his tour. Derrik was able to customize a tour based on what we we..."re interested in seeing, something that really stood him apart from the other tour companies.
We met Derrik on the Us side of the border and he walked us over the border where we found his mini bus. From there Derrik took us to a local produce market where we tried a goat taco, a fermented corn drink and saw lots of weird vegetables and meats we'd never see at home.
Later we went down to the beach for some lunch and tacos, this was one of the most spectacular parts of the tour, Tijuana can be very pretty when it wants to be.
All in all, it was an amazing day put together for us, one we are unlikely to forget. I simply cannot recommend Derrik and Turista LIbre highly enough, ...

"Stopped in here with a friend to see what was new. It was my first time here. It was definitely worth a visit. Tijuana has such a negative imagine north of the border which is definitely misplaced. I was surprised at what this place has to offer. People were practicing martial arts out front. ..."It has an Imax and several different exhibits displaying local Indian and Mexican history. Everyone is familiar with the Mission History in San Diego but no so much in Baja. This place brings it to life along with the local history relative to what was going on in the world at the time.

"We spent five hours here seeing exhibits in the Cultural Center and an IMax movie in the beautiful theatre known as "La Bola". We came across surprising performances in different parts of the complex including Folklorico Dance, bands and singers. On Sundays the museum is free and other tickets ar..."e discounted. The IMax movie was less than $2.00 each. The schedule changes often so I will definitely be back.
