"Visited the Grove of the Patriarchs on June 9, 2013. It was a short "hike" to the trees that is quite pleasant for anyone to walk. We detoured down to the water via a fallen tree and skipped rocks along the water before heading to the main attraction. You have to cross a suspension bridge that go..."es over some very fast moving and very cold water. Once across you walk a few more steps and you're at the Patriarchs. It's awesome to see all these trees that weren't devastated by wildfires and were able to grow so large...
Definitely worth a visit if you happen to drive by. :)

"i was not prepared for a walk in the snow for 4 hours. while getting to the skyline top, before proceeding to Camp Muir (which we didn't) was tough and challenging. but the whole experience, i must say was worth the pain.
gorgeous scenery. sliding down the hill was so much fun.
whether you ar..."e prepared or not, hiking boots is a must!!!!

"Perhaps the most impressive sight in the lower 48 (only Yosemite compares). This massive volcano rises above the surrounds unlike any other peak in north America and with its lower treeline and big snowfall, it seems even bigger.
But the mountain is only the main attraction - the drive around the m..."ountain is spectacular, the massive trees inspiring, the rivers impressive, the animals abundant, and the trails diverse.
The Paradise Lodge (by NP standards) is only "average", but deserves at least one night stay by EVERYONE. Put it on your "bucket list". Take the time to see Sunrise, Cayuse Pass, and the Grove of the Patriarchs.
