The Château was built at the beginning of the 18th century by Bullet de Chamblain. It belonged to the Duke de La Vallière and was rented by Mme de Pompadour, mistress to Louis XV. The classical building houses rooms that feature Regency and baroque style panelling and a fine collection of period furniture and paintings. The Château boasts one of the finest parks in the Île-de-France region. Site with the "Outstanding Garden" label. The Château is temporary closed and will reopen in 2013. Free access to the park. Open:> 20th May to 21st September: from 9.45 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.> 22nd September to 19th May: from 9.45 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Closed:> Tuesdays.> 1st January, 1st May, 1st November, 11th November and 25th December. Free admission: minors under 18*; Free admission: 18-25 years old* (citizens of one of the 27 countries of the EU or are non-European permanent residents of France) * excluding school groups
