On Odaiba, an artificial island developed to showcase futuristic living, the Fuji TV Building is an eye-catching landmark. It sits like a docked space shuttle atop a hyper-modern lattice building.

"Zojoji Temple and garden is a peaceful and relaxing spot just beside the Tokyo Tower and located in Shiba Park. It is in a busy part of Tokyo but once inside the grounds you really don’t know you are in a major busy city.
It is a large site and in addition to the Temple itself there are many small..."er areas with unique commemorative statues and plaques.
One striking site is the large display (hundreds) of little statues of Jizobosatsu (small statues of little children) lined up like a marching band, dressed in various types of baby clothing, many of them with knit sweaters, caps and holding little toy windmills. They are said to be the protectors of the souls of stillborn children.
The Temple is quite magnificent and ornate.
If you are in the area of Shiba Park I would recommend that you spend a quiet afternoon at the Temple and grounds.

"If you like the hectic busy side of large cities the Roppongi area in Tokyo is the place to go. It is easy to get to on the Tokyo subway which has two stops for this large shopping area. Here is where you will find the large 30 story light displays with LED advertising and TV programs. It is a da..."zzling display of technology. A must see in the evening.
The shopping is this area is what the locals and tourist come for. Large shops ranging from electronics to high end clothing shop abound on all sides of the streets for blocks and blocks.
An interesting place to go simply to people watch. Worth a visit if you are okay with massive crowds and traffic congestion.
