"We escaped Marrakesh for a day and went on the moderate walking excursion after a visit to the weekly Berber market in Amizmiz.
It was a most impressive experience and I wouldn't have wanted to miss it for anything in this world. The scenery was beautiful and the lunch in the Auberge was delicio..."us. Nourredine was our guide and pointed out lots of interesting things on the way.
My only regret is that the day was over in no time - next time we must take a longer hike, maybe over a couple of days. It was our first trip to Morocco and we can't wait to come back!

"My girlfriend and I decided to spend a day on this excursion having read good reviews on the internet and after being impressed with the well-presented website. We took the bus and I can safely say the instructions for this on the website are very clear and concise. We met Nouredine our guide in the..." town of Amizmiz in the morning and he took us on the 14 mile hike through the Atlas Mountains. The route was excellent and Nouredine was extremely informative. Being just the three of us, it was very personal and we got to know him and a lot about the Berber way of life over the course of the day. His English was good and we stopped of twice, once for mint tea and bread and again for lunch at another Berber house. Lunch was a fantastic tagine with bread, salad and melon for desert. The family who cooked this for us didn’t speak any English but were extremely hospitable and catered for our vegetarian needs superbly. This tour is very reasonably priced and I would thoroughly recommend it to a...

"Myself and my wife took two different walks with Jamal, this April.
The scenery was lush green having recently had some downpours. This had topped up the snow on the surrounding mountain tops. The walks followed paths you wouldn't find if you only had a map (which we had) as it Jamal's knowledge of..." the area that made the walks more interesting.
We had lunch in the houses of Berber families who supplied large tagines, fruit and copies amounts of herbal or mint tea.
The second walk took us up to 5000 feet high. The views from the house we visited was jaw dropping. From here we walked over the top of the ridge, by an empty ranger's house to a view that has to be seen to be believed, how the ranger vacated that view I will never know.
On the guide Jamal, he speaks perfect English and is also a keen runner ( which we both are) so he told us some great runs to go on whilst we were there. He took us back to the Maroc Lodge where we were staying. The first walk was 5 hours and the second w...
