This is a wonderful place to visit. Houses from the Rhineland have been rebuilt in a fantastic setting, including an indoor Museum. Lots of hands on activities for children especially in the school holidays between July and September. We live close by and never get tired of visiting.

Everything is very interesting and the houses are really in a fantastic view. Low cost entry and a good shop for local things.

http://www.wir-rheinlaender.lvr.de This part of the open air museum is housed in the exhibiotion halls of the "Museumsplatz ausstellungen" and ist that great that we would like to visit again and again. Vivid real life size wax figurines which seem to come to life. The exhibition "wirrheinländer" creates an identity for a better understanding of their origins and teaches Rhenish population... More
