On 9 FEB 2012, my wife and I arrived at PERTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT at 5.20AM. After AIRPORT EXIT, we went to the car-for-hire counters to rent a car. But to our surprise, they were all fully booked! Margaret River is an easy drive from Perth, the roads are very good and you can stop off at places like Mandurah and Bussellton ( make sure you take a walk along the massive pier) along the way to break up the trip which takes about 3 hours.
