Thanks so much for taking the trouble to write a review, Trudi. Ian was delighted to meet you and so pleased you enjoyed his collection of motors and memorabilia - the working pianola is a real favourite! Do visit again when you are next in Hawkes Bay. More

An amazing treasure trove of classic British cars from the 50's and later. I can't think of a collection, even in the UK which would match. The cars are all mainly 'original' and have that lovely patina of 'age' rather than being overly restored .. Ian the owner was great, showing us around the collection, especially his Morris Minors.

A group of blokes went here and really enjoyed it. The only negative was that the cars were too close together so was hard to see them properly or get any photos. Worth a visit for anyone interested in cars.

I took my children (aged 9 and 7) and father-in-law along and they absolutely loved it. So many childhood memories for us adults, and the kids really had their eyes opened to "the olden days" as they called it. Ian was a great host and had plenty of time for us, his dedication to preserving British motoring history is commendable.... More

Ian is lovely and took time to show us around the inside of the Moggies - all bought locally! A wonderful time spent looking at all the lovely classics. Do take time to pop in - you won't be disappointed at the variety.

Considering this is all done in a shed in Haumoana it is absolutely amazing! We have recently been to Europe & never seen this many British cars in any of the museums we went to. If you live in NZ you must come here, if your from Overseas & coming to NZ & have enough time to come to "Napier-Hastings"... More

A stunning collection of British cars spanning from the 1930s right up to the 2000s. Possibly the largest collection of the Morris Minor model range under one roof which includes a very rare 1934 Morris Minor saloon. The arrangement and presentation could improve quite a bit but still it's well worth a look at a $10 entry fee.

Thank you very much for the review - you are most kind to take the trouble. We would love to give the exhibits more space, but unfortunately we cannot get agreement to expand our floor area, so must make do with what we have as best we can. Ian is delighted you enjoyed your visit. More

Having found Ian's collection by accident, we spent a couple of hours wandering around the cars, vans, trucks and of course the fire engine. Yes, they were mostly dusty and stacked, but what a fantastic eclectic gathering of aged British engineering and a monument to one man's vision and energy. I had the good fortune of visiting 'off season' and... More

I actually thought I had already reviewed this, but it turns out I haven't so here goes. I stopped by here one weekend, finally decided to visit. For a long time I never knew this place even existed. I was pleasantly surprised, the collection was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. A huge amount of British cars... More

Hello Draco and thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are very pleased you enjoyed your visit. Its true that some of the cars are on raised stands.
