This place could have been a lovely place in it's time but unfortunately when we went none of the lit musical fountains were working. There was a long walk to get to it in the dark from the car parking area and not a lot to see otherwise.

The backwaters of the dam reach till the horizon, so it is a beautiful sight in and of itself, especially during sunsets. The garden is big and they have shows in the evening near the water fountains, but the crowd turns you off. The annoyance begins from the car parking area itself which is very poorly managed. All said and... More

You can get excellent panoramic view of the dam site. A spot for great photo opportunity for photographers besides getting an idea of the sheer size of the dam and the engineering that has gone into building such a wonderful facility. A must se place when in Hospet.

This is a great place to sun coming down. The dam is so huge that it looks like a calm sea. Some good enough snacking options are also available in this area. There is a bus service to and fro from the main road to the peak of the dam which you need to take if you are feeling lazy.... More

Nothing special. Only go if you have lots of time. Bus 201 from either Hospet station or bus stand. 7 rupees.

A fantastic evening well spent with a boat ride and ended with the musical fountain show. special permission is required to go on the damn itself but definitely worth visiting to see the sunset on the Tungabhadra.

it's is good to see TB dam if you have not been to KRS dam of mysore. it's good to see once. the garden in the TB dam is good and fountain show is worthless one can avoid this. it's has boating facility also at reasonable price.
