Water is very less in the dam. Dam is quite a large area and gardens, musical fountains are located in the lower areas. Top of the hill is a watch tower. Good view of Hospet city and Hampi temples in clear sky. Lot of plastic and waste materials strewn around. Its has to be maintained. The dam is worth a... More

If you have seen any other dams, then you won't find this dam very appealing to you. Also, gardens can be skipped.

The Tungabhadra Dam is a very poor cousin of the Brindavan Gardens and KRS Dam at Mysore. The Gardens are very, very small. It ends before it even began. The musical fountains was a huge let down, as it was the same we have seen elsewhere. So, there was nothing different. However, this does seem to be a huge hit... More

after reading a lot about Tungabhadra dam, did want to miss it during our visit to Hampi. A beautiful place, well maintained. There is a bus service right tot the top, from where you get good views. Then take the same bus to the next level for the parks and the relaxing areas. Spend some time, and then either walk... More

Its a nice place to visit in the evenings. Watch the sunset from the viewpoint. They have buses to take visitors around. A nice view from the top. When we visited, we weren't allowed onto the dam. Kids may enjoy the musical fountain, though we decided to skip it. Overall, its worth a quick visit. Takes about an hour to... More

Before entering Hospet town you have pass through Tunbhadra Dam. It is around 8-10kms away from Hotel Malligi in Hospet town. It’s a huge area. After parking your vehicle there are two buses which will take you through all the attractions. The timing of the Dam is 8am – 8.30pm on all 7 days. There is one big garden where... More
