beautiful dam views but sad state of maintenance, the rose gardens, the aviary the deer park all in shambles. The Aquarium was okay but still much below standards. Worth driving up for views of the dam.....but nothing more don't waste your time...

Dam and the Music fountains in the night at the dam site are really nice to see. The gardens and the little fountains all around the garden are really wonderful at the night in colourful lights.

We visited Tungabhadra dam as it was near to our hotel . By the time we visited it was evening and we had a good view of the dam. About gardens it was average, there was aquarium and fountain show , which were okay. I did not visit the other attractions in gardens as it was dark .

I don't know if travelling to the TG Dam alone will be worth it. However, we visited it as a part of our Hampi itinerary, and I can say that it did give a variety to our trip. We visited the dam in the morning around 8 AM. The bus service starts a bit later (I think from around 10... More

It's a large dam and walking to the top to get a view wasn't well worth it. It would have been much better if we were allowed to walk across the dam. You could take the bus for 20 bucks which takes you uphill and drops you at the gardens. In short - if you are visiting Hampi and somebody... More

Tungabhadra Dam is the largest dam in Karnataka and is situated 5 km away from Hospet town. On the way you can see surrounding hills and coffee plantations. Dam offers beautiful landscape. entry is restricted due to security reasons. But there is a light house near the dam where one can climb and take in the fantastic site of the place.... More

Great place to visit - but bus service inside the Dam has to improve. No proper line - very inconvenient travel.

It is huuuuuuuuugee dam ... !! the only thing is there are toooo many people around and the actual dam is inaccessible without prior permissions. So please do take permission from the Dam authorities prior to visiting so that you have the best view of the attraction !!

The dam is a beautifully built dam which shows the combination of nature and beauty together. The dam is built in a strategically important location. Between two hillocks. The view of the dam and the catchment area from the vaikunth park/guesthouse is really breathtaking one. the road leading the dam is a serpentine one which winds around the mountain. the... More
