TB Dam is a few kilometers from Hospet and is quite close to the NH13. The dam and gardens have a large car parking area. There is a bus, charging Rs. 20 to take the tourists to a few spots ( the viewer's gallery on top of a hill, the stop for the dam view/Iyergar's garden and finally at the... More

You can take your vehicle up to the car park and then take a bus from there (Rs. 20 per seat). Go to the top of the hill, and marvel at the sheer volume of water you can see. The reservoir is endless and stretches away into the horizon like an ocean. Total time required - 1 hour

Created in 1956 and elevated in 1967, its a true pride of modern India. Has a beautiful garden, aquarium, musical fountain apart from the scenic view of the Dam set upon the river Tungabhadra (previously known as river Pampi, from which the civilisation of Hampi derives its name).

We visited this place , found a parking spot and decided to take the walk up the hill. It was a lovely breezy day and with a beautiful green view around it was perfect. They don't allow you on the road on top of the dam, but there is a small vantage point next to it. The river is immense... More

A must visit place if you are in Hospet, a good place to spend time. The view from the top is awesome. Visit this during the evening/Sunset.This is yet another example of our engineering capabilities. The garden is average. Don't wait for the musical fountain, there is nothing you will miss. The bus that takes you to the top is... More

Essentially, this is a garden with musical fountains. You dont really see the dam. We reached here at dusk, and walked for about 1 km from the car park to the gardens. Not very easy with old parents. To top this, the lighting was very dim. Very dangerous in a place which has numerous stairs. The fountain was nice, but... More
