The 'interesting' route to get here, is to follow the road south from Portu Maga, and when it becomes a track - keep going, and when you get to the first river-bed - keep going, and when you get to the second river-bed, with water in it - keep going, you're almost there at the one of the biggest sand... No words to describe this place, simply beautiful between the dunes of sand and the sea which was, the day I went there, kinda perfect for surfers with 3/4 mt high waves. Gotta go back there again! For sure!

It is a nice beach, and if you are staying close to it, then don't miss it. Otherwise you can skip it for sure.... It takes forever to get there, we went from Carbon and took us 2 hours for 95 km, imagine the roads.... If you have kids the trip will be a nightmare. Once there, it is a... More

I had to bike through here, and biking in sand is so not fun, then I had to forge a river... but the dunes were so incredibly wild it was worth the slog.... go just to see how a dune could be a horror movie....

Beautiful beach. Was not crowded, even on a Sunday. Sand can be quite rough however, and therefore difficult to walk along the water. Near Dune hotel where there is very good food for lunch.

You drive 7 kilometers of dirt track driving and then you reach a wild, untamed beach in the middle of nowhere.

Very wide and long beach, so it is easy to get away from the area where most people congregate. Beach backs up to great dunes and the water is clean and nice. Take a parasol and water as it can get quite hot.

A very interesting place to see with a lot sand wherever you look. But it is not recommended to come with a car with low clearance.

Quite difficult to get there.. Pls beware as the signs on the road are not correct.. When we came to a small town on the way to Piscinas beach, there were two signs that pointed to the same direction- and we followed. Road was simply awful (it cannot even be described as road). It is a narrow path with "canals"... More
