A wonderful sandy beach

The great natural beauty of the sand dunes and the blue sea with a gorgeous view on the hills and mountains behind

Great sand beaches are in short supply in Sardinia, and this is the motherlode. It is not that easy to get to as the road leading up to it is better described as a 5km sand path packed by tractor tracks. But once you get there, you see it is all worth it. Very few people, a bar, and sand... More

This is kind of a perfect beach. The sand is very loose and one normally woudln't expect such a "dune sight" in this area.

We got there like most people... because we saw the reviews in all the guides and websites... It took us quite a long drive to get there but anyway, we were driving north so we decided to stop there a few hours on our way to Barumini. We arrived around 5pm... when most people were leaving. We wanted to stay... More

We've read in our book guide that Piscinas is a specioal place, and we were not deceived. The road to go there is not easy... you drive on a mountain road... but it's beautiful! You also crose former mine town and abandoned mines and equipment... looks a bit like a movie... not sure what style.. sci-fi??? Beach itself is beautiful,... More

What a great beach! We visited mid/end June and there were very few people about. There were 2 beach bars/restaurants that offered bathroom facilities and had some showers. The golden sand is fantastic, the water is clear and cool and there are some waves! The waves are not big enough to surf, but makes for some good swimming.

Le Dune di Piscinas offers you tranquility and cheap beach services. the vsita is gorgeous, the yellow sand dunes goes well with the turquoise sea. While swiming close to the shore I've seen a few very timid rays. What a wonderful place!!

This place was really beautiful when there was no tourism. The dunes and the wildness of the beach deserve intense silence. Unfortunately in the last few years it has become destination of many visitors without anybody really organizing this new situation. if you go in August you find a crowd of people on the beach and a lot of cars... Arriving on a dusty track to an enormous beach is the only way as you know it puts of the casual visitor and results in a bigger beach for the rest of us!
