First thing we came across was the filthy car park, we actually thought we'd arrived at a tip! Expensive at £15 per person. Giraffes were pacing backwards and forwards! Animals looked bored. Some had no grass at all. Guide book was best thing about the place. Left feeling quite upset about how some of the animals looked. Will not return!

We visited this park whilst on holiday in the area. It's great for getting near to the animals, and you can feed the Emu's, Kangaroos, ducks, geese and the Lemus. One of the best safari parks we have been to in the UK - well worth a visit!

It was a nice day out, although some parts ( the lions) is not push chair friendly,,, but we had fun it's like a small safari, and we were very close to the animals and had the ability to touch penguins, and feed be with ostriches ,,, very nice I hope I have the chance to visit again

I have visited this zoo on several occasions and never been disappointed. Visited this zoo recently on August bank holiday weekend. The interaction with the animals in this zoo is amazing. The lemurs, spider monkeys and kangaroos also look incredibly happy to be able to wander around. Love this place definitely recommend. You can also get some amazing photos of... More

We visited here using tesco club card vouchers and it was a great day out! The lion feeding was good to watch and it was good to walk through the enclosure with the birds roaming around. We also visited between Christmas and new year when it was really quiet and free entry and enjoyed it then too.

Enjoyed our 3rd visit here with our children on a Saturday in the school holidays. It was good to see the expansion taking place and the new additions of wolves. We took our own food as have thought before that the quality is poor and the queues at the till horrendous. Was disgusted with the cleanliness of the toilets, they... More

Wow! We usually go to Chester Zoo, which is excellent and a lot bigger than South Lakes, however, the interaction with the animals at South Lakes and experience of being up-close with the animals was brilliant. My daughters are 11 and 13 and they loved it. Entrance fees were a bit pricey, however, we had a voucher for £25 for... More

We went with three girls aged 10,10 & 11. Spent 6 hrs in there and all enjoyed it very much. It was amazing to be that close to some of the animals. Feeding the lemurs and giraffes was fantastic. It was busy at feeding time,it was August Bank holiday weekend,so was kinda what we were expecting. Who likes queuing? Nobody,but... More

We have just got home from the safari park today and really enjoyed it. We had a special discount voucher off the Internet for £25 for family of four. We read reviews last night and felt a bit dubious about visiting, as there are quite a few negative write ups on here. Firstly, we didn't see one wasp, which was... More
