2 four year olds and a 7 year old let down by very poor customer service, Chester zoo treat there customers far better, was good when I last went but the fact they don't care about letting children down is terrible

I can't bring myself to give this place anything less than 5 stars because of the stunning animals and friendly staff, but I have to say our day was frustratingly spent chasing our tails because there wasn't a single map to be found ANYWHERE on site. In the first weekend of the school holidays to have already run out of... More

- We arrived when the zoo opened. Good price for a whole day of things to see (£15 for adults, £11 for concessions and £9 for children over 3). - Unfortunately they did not have any maps for sale due to a revamp of the zoo, this made it a little difficult to navigate which meant quite a bit of... Nice to see a zoo that has the things you would expect. Big cats, rhino, monkeys etc. Staff were friendly, not overpriced. Zoo is expanding so some building work but does to affect enjoyment. Big plus wAs you do get to mingle with some of the animals and feed them

We have just made a visit to South Lakes Safari zoo whilst on a family holiday and thought it was fantastic!! The animals appear to be well looked after in large habitats suitable to their needs and seemed to be happy. There are many activities throughout the course of the day including feeding the giraffes which I really enjoyed (nevermind... More

We visited the South Lakes Safari Zoo when we were looking after our two and a half year old nephew for the day. There are so many good things about this place - the key one being loads of fabulous animals that you can get up close to. Also it didn't feel as if the place was crowded but we... More

Myself and my boyfriend caught the bus from Bowness to get here. The zoo was good value for money, with lots of animals to see. There was lots of nice walks and it was exciting to have lots of the animals free and wandering around the paths, though the Emus were a tad intimidating! We would definitely recommend it!

We had travelled to the South Lakes area for a few days to visit the zoo as main part of short break holiday. No discount vouchers for us 1 adult &1 Child. But no guide books to purchase we were... Firstly let me say that I detest zoos, I find them boring and overpriced, so this zoo was a real breath of fresh air, a very reasonable entry price of just £15, with no added fees for viewing feedings. There was also a good selection of animals, including a lovely walk through area in which you were allowed to touch... More
