Thermal baths are a must do

This Thermal bath was designed by Peter Zumthor architect. The whole compound is so amazing. It creates the experience that I never experienced before and dont think that anywhere else could compare to this one. There are several pools with different temperature and unique mood that you have to see by yourself. The camera or mobile phone is strictly not... More

You have to earn it. You have to travel to the last village in a lonely mountain valley. You need to have reservations. You have to pay a steep entrance fee of 80 swiss francs. You will be surprised and see is worth the effort! This thermal bath is made of water and stone in the midst of a beautiful... More

This is a must do, I have never felt so calm, at ease and relaxed the way i did. The architecture is amazing and breathtaking which makes the atmosphere a place of calmness. They are a lot of rooms with different temperatures that you can explore. Great place to relax

We made one mistake: visiting for only one day. That said, we flew into Zurich that day and had a flight from Malpensa the next, so there wasn't much we could do. I'm an architect so I wanted to see the oft-published Peter Zumthor masterpiece. It was everything I expected and more. It's a great building and a wonderful spa.... More

Hard to write a review about a place so special. The architecture is amazing, the views from the outdoor pool stunning, a nice variety in pools regarding size and temperature. Great steam bath. I would try to come early to avoid crowds or stay at the hotel to enjoy outside hour bathing.

These are the best thermal baths I have experienced so far. The views are breathtaking, especially from the outside pool. Plenty of small rooms full of interesting content. It was made to explore it. Loved all of it, but music room was one of my favourites. Definitely a place to spend a couple of hours just relaxing. The restaurant has... More

A bit hard to get to, not a lot of signs are placed around the small town of Vals and it is not visible from the main road. The main reason to go is for the architecture which is very interesting, basing it's self on quartzite and concrete (this last one gave it a sort of industrial and strange atmosphere,... More

I have never been to a place like this before. On one hand it's a relaxing thermal pools & spa. It has pools of different temperatures, steam rooms, massage treatments etc all of which are great. On the other hand it is a magnificent example of intelligent design and architecture (Peter Zumthor was the architect). It is a maze of... More

Therme Vals, the architecture and the complete dreamlike atmosphere, is one of its kind. This visit was not an exeption, though a few things worries me: - I saw the result of an architecture competition for a highrise addition to the 7132 hotel. None of the proposals did justice to Vals, a beautiful place - calm and unspoilt. With approximately... More

The Therme offers a lot of different baths with water from the local thermal spring as well as relaxing space. Already the architecture of it is a must see. You are provided with a bathrobe and towel for free during your stay.
