a one to two hours little walk in Christian Dior's parc and house. A look at the collection of his creations... the roses, the view into the ocean, the story behind each dress... just make a little stop, before heading in Granville

As advised by the tourist office we walked along the promenade & climbed the steps up to the museum! The steps were extremely steep although there were breaks with gentle slopes my legs were burning by the time I got to the top! But worth it! The gardens themselves are beautifully kept and worth looking round. The house itself where... More

We went to Granville in order to visit the Musée Dior and were agreeably surprised by the wonderful garden, an oasis of peace and colors after much driving to get there. You need a car and a GPS to reach this place away from the city centre, located in a residential area. Parking is free of charge. At 11 o'clock... More

Driving through Granville we saw the signs directing you to the Christian Doir museum, working in the fashion industry this was of interest to us, upon finding this attraction there was no parking facilities, there is a small car park a short walk away. The house did not open until 2pm so we did not go inside but the gardens... More

Christain Dior grew up in this pretty house overlooking the sea - a garden has been created to emphasise the links between art and perfume and the house contains a number of his creations plus an exhibition of fashion photographs. We had to wait to gain entrance as only 50 visitors are allowed at any time - we arrived after... More

Seven years ago I read an article in a woman's magazine about this museum and decided that one day I'm going there. It may have been 7 yrs but I got there. Travelled on my own and loved it.

The house is called Rhumbas and over the years of living here I have been to several exhibitions there . It was the house that Christian Dior grew up in and has great views over the sea. Well worth a visit! One word of advice "Cars" in french can mean coaches and the sign saying 'Parking Cars ' means buses... More

We went on a sunny afternoon and the visit was glorious. The garden was in full bloom. What a beautiful sight! Huge hydrangea and rose bushes. We had a wonderful stroll around the garden. There was a temporary exhibition (Dior et l'Impressionnisme) and we simply couldn't miss it. They were only allowing 50 visitors at a time and we waited... More

I really enjoyed the museum and gardens. The paintings and sculpture were such a wonderful surprise. The New Look dresses were so beautifully made. My favourite dress in the collection was one with embroidered Daisies on, some with open flowers and some closed, so clever. I was more disappointed at the modern day couture as they looked really badly made,... More

Beautiful location and great value for money. It had an impressionism art exhibition on and even my other half enjoyed the experience. Make it a must on your Normandy get-away!
