Five of us, ages ranging from 30 to 64, rated this tour so highly based on the knowledge of the guide and the animals and insects we experienced which included a sloth, a tarantula, scorpions, frog eggs, a dragon headed caterpillar for which our guide became very excited, and bats. Our guide was most helpful in assisting us to take... More

Way too many people. Walking around a busy forest, up and down the trails with other groups following you, all lightning with their flashlights. Not worthy and expensive.

This tour was one of the BEST that I have been on. Chris (the Guide) was very knowledgeable, and could find many animals, bugs, snakes to see at night. It was a 2.5 hour tour. Saw two sloths, learned about sloths.

We went on this tour in June 2014, during the "wet season," so it had just finished raining before we went on this tour around 6 PM. I had a feeling we wouldn't see much, and we didn't really. We saw a sloth for about a minute before it was hidden in the leaves and a tarantula. However, the guide... More

We had a really bad experience on the night tour. Way too many people. Guide did not speak English well, was not knowledgeable at all, he was a local college student on a summer job. Saw very few animals. Overall terrible experience.

Our guide took great care of us and was very knowledgeable . He showed us more than we could have hoped for. I recommend real shoes and not flip flops as I did have to step lightly in them. Among the life we saw were two sloths, a kinkajou and a viper. Definitely worth the time and fee.

We really enjoyed our night hike! (2 kids ages 9 and 12 also) (Note it was cold - maybe close to 50's so dress appropriately!) price included transportation to/from hotel too. Our group was about 8 people (they separate you based on hotels so there is a large group to start and they offer coffee and crackers while you wait)... More

I had been told that this night walk was a bit crowded, and it was - the group was broken into about four groups of six people. This tended not to be a casual stroll through the rainforest looking for things type of night walk. The guides knew where various animals could be found, so we tended to head from... More

This walk in the dark was well worth the modest fee. We saw a sloth waking up, a Kinkajou, a skunk, a walking stick, Katydids, a firefly like beetle, a tarantula, many sleeping birds, etc. The guide provides flashlights and the tour is about two hours long. So many of the forest animals are nocturnal that this kind of tour... More

The night tour was absolutely a great experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we saw many animals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects that are impossible to notice if you are a novice. The only negative point was that there were too many people in the group.
